The future of print journalism will soon be coming to and end. It cannot survive the popularity of New Media. Print Journalism is a thing of the past because new media is faster and more convinient.
Some papers are changing the kind of coverage in the print. They are focusing less on breaking news because the Internet can deliver the information much faster. (multimedia) They are loosing their readers because of time, money and availability.
Most newspapers and online news organizations offer news for free on their websites. The companies who go with a paid subscription wont be able to compete the the online sources when the readers are able to get faster, more convinient converage for free on news websites.
Large newspapers are facing major financial challenges as advertising slows down due to Internet competition. However, local news papers are still staying strong because it is harder to get local news online.
Some people remain optimistic about print journalism but the truth is Journalists are loosing their jobs in newsrooms because new media is more beneficial and makes more sense.
